Oliver Bludau

Chief Operating Officer

Oliver was the first employee hired by CorFlow after its creation in 2016. He has 10 years of medical device experience in the fields of interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and neuromodulation. Oliver has taken products from early concept phase, through clinical trials, to commercial launch. He designed the first-generation CoFI catheter and console and is currently overseeing the second-generation device development. Prior to joining CorFlow, Oliver was Project Manager and Deputy CTO at Osypka AG in Rheinfelden (Germany). He earned his Master’s Degree in Microsystem Technology from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and is a graduate of the Regulatory Affairs Master program from the University of Lübeck (Germany).

Chief Scientific Officer

Sabrina joined CorFlow in 2019 as part of the R&D team and has over 8 years of experience in biomedical research with focus on the physics of blood flow in the heart, brain, liver and the peripheral circulation. She holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Bern. As a PhD candidate and Postdoctoral researcher, Sabrina started collaborating with CorFlow to investigate coronary hemodynamics and the CoFI technology.

VP Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs

Markus has more than 25 year of experience in regulatory affairs, quality assurance and post market surveillance, Prior to joining CorFlow in 2019, Markus worked 13 years at Medela AG where he had different positions as VP Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager and Director of Postmarket Surveillance. Before that, he headed the Quality and Regulatory activities in Schiller (ECG, Monitoring and Defibrillation) for 12 years. Markus holds a Master’s Degree in Business Excellence from the University of Lucerne.

Giovanna joined the CorFlow team in 2020. For the previous 10 years she worked in clinical research for mid- to large-sized CROs. Giovanna holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Milan and a PhD in Pharmacology of Atherosclerosis from Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris. She has extensive experience in site management for Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials in infectious disease, oncology, rare disease, and cardiovascular disease.

R&D Project Manager

Lukas’ educational background includes professional training as electronics technician, a B.Sc. in Systems Engineering (mechatronics) at the ZHAW and an M.Sc. and PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He did his PhD at the Dept. of Cardiology of the Bern University Hospital and at the ARTORG Center of the University of Bern, focusing on leadless cardiac multisite pacemakers. Prior to joining CorFlow in 2022, he acted as a project leader in an Innosuisse project developing a urological medical device and was co-founder and CTO of the resulting spin-off company.

Finance and HR Manager

Prior to joining CorFlow in 2020, Sara held numerous positions in Finance and HR, most notably with Doctors Without Borders, where she completed assignments in Pakistan, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic. Sara holds a Master’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Applied Science and Arts in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Medical Devices Engineer

Michael joined the R&D team at CorFlow as a medical device engineer in 2021. He holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Munich. Prior to joining CorFlow, Michael worked as a system engineer at Aerolite AG, where he had the technical responsibility for the development of compressed air-, Oxygen-, and vacuumsystems in air ambulances.
